I am bigger. I am literally heavier. It is grounding. I am protected. I am not as desirable. I am granted the space to not defer to others' desires.
powerful with weight
Recently, I was as powerful and effective with weight as I was when I was at the height of my power, thin. The ether of my environment has been "thin or pariah." Spending months breathing different air where heavy is normal and finding myself empowered even as I put on weight, let me experience the neutrality of weight. The shame I have felt around gaining any amount of weight has been paralyzing. The shame comes from weight being perceived as an issue of morality.
Weight is neutral. Fat is neutral.
